Eric Dunnett – Port Jefferson Hires Tennis Professional
Port Jefferson, NY (March 29, 2011) The Village is extremely excited to announce that Mr. Eric Dunnett from East Setauket has officially become the new Village Tennis Professional under a 2 year contract after a long and very thorough search. The Village had issued a Request For Qualification (RFQ) earlier this year and over 30 resumes were received from qualified tennis professionals internationally.
A committee representing tennis members and residents alike, after reviewing the resumes, sent out a Request For Proposal (RFP) to the top candidates. Face to face interviews were arranged, proposals were reviewed, and the selection narrowed down to a final cut of four tennis professionals who went through a second interview including an on-court session to analyze their tennis skills, inter-personal communication skills, energy level and overall professionalism teaching teens, recreational mixed doubles teams and high level tennis players.
Mr. Eric Dunnett received the highest scores throughout this vigorous process. Coming from a local tennis family, Eric’s father is the head pro at the Three Village Country Club where Eric worked under his tutelage as the Assistant Pro. The Village is enthusiastically looking forward to Eric’s on-court skills and warm personality to welcome our members back to the 2011 tennis where he will be instrumental in developing our tennis programs for young and old alike.
