Season Opening Post – Head Tennis Professional Eric Dunnett
Dear Members,
Welcome to the 2011 PJCC tennis season!
I am honored to have the opportunity to serve you as your Director of Tennis and Head Tennis Professional this year.
Over the past two summers, I have had the pleasure of working alongside my father at Three Village Tennis Club, working as the Director of Junior Tennis. My family and I fell in love with the community, were introduced to great friends and students, and have decided to make Long Island our year around home.
The board has asked me to increase the activity of the club with new programs and events. Some of the things I’m planning to organize are men’s doubles and ladies doubles nights. There will be various clinics available including stroke, strategy, and a high-energy cardio clinic to music. Due to my background, there will be a large emphasis on junior development this season, which will include tennis leagues, clinics and interclub play. The club will also continue the ladders, interclub and USTA leagues. Please review the schedule for up-coming events that the board and I are designing.
I plan to offer new services such as on-site stringing and racquet repair. As a Head authorized dealer, I will carry demos on site of the latest models in Head tennis racquets. Through my professional tennis association, there will be a web-site available to make court reservations, match arranging, and information on club events and news.
One of the things I love to do is play tennis, so don’t hesitate to ask if you need a fourth. My goal is to meet every member this season and I hope that you will stop by the pro shop to say hi.
I do not take this opportunity lightly and I will work hard to make our club the best it can be.
Eric Dunnett
Director of Tennis &
Head Tennis Professional
